Super psyched for new Comedy Bang Bang on IFC. I was trying to say, oh after this long week. But not really, not that bad. It’s just that the last two (first two?) eps were online before they aired, so it feels like it’s been forever since I saw a new one (of the tv not the podcast, which I have listened too, I have a problem). Also-Jon Hamm and Nick Kroll, or sorry- El Chupacabra! = so in.
Comedy Bang! Bang!: Best Bro Hang
The bros are back in town! Andy Samberg, whose film That’s My Boy opens this weekend, and Scott’s weed dealer Bro have reunited, and this time they have a good rapport (unless you were to ask Bro about it). The boys talk Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper, Bro’s paradise, and Woody Allen. Plus the debut of a new feature, “Bobby Moynihan Talk.” This is a good week to be a bro!
This is pretty great. If you need something to listen to besides music, this is it. I love that they just don’t identify Adam Pally (in the first half anyway). He is just there as Bro. So if no one knew it was him, you wouldn’t get like half the jokes about networks, junkets, his show, etc. But now you will! You’re welcome.

I got to sit down with Scott Aukerman to talk about his new IFC show, and with Jason Mantzoukas to watch him make fun of Scott a lot.

Farley: As far as the IFC show goes, do you feel like it’s been a long time coming?
Scott: Too long! Like, what the fuck took it so long?!
Jason: Woah, woah, woah. Be humble, Scott.
Scott: Shut up Jason. Who are you to think that I shouldn’t have a TV show?!
Jason: This interview is not going to turn out the way you want it to.
Scott: Honestly though, it’s crazy to me that I have a TV show. It’s weird. I don’t deserve it.
Jason: I agree. Everybody agrees.
Scott: When I first started and I got into comedy and I got onto “Mr. Show with Bob and David,” I assumed that I would be starring in my own show the very next year.
Jason: That’s the whole thing. I remember starting in 1998 and thinking that I’d be on SNL in a couple of years. Not the case. At all.
