Suddenly everyone is up on the Mara. What is up with that? I was all into the Masai Mara like 4-5 years ago during the Big Cat Diary phase. Not complaining, but there has to be something about it (besides the obvious variety of big cats) that make it easy to shoot….
Not usually one for sappy videos, but this one? So much adorable. Oh, and the kids too. From The Unexpected Pit Bull. I think it’s one thing where people with prejudices really miss out. My dog is her very best self with kids, it’s a pretty insane transformation. Calm, amazingly tolerant and just so gentle and sweet. (She’s always sweet, just not always so gentle with her excitable nature :) ) Many, many people with pit bulls and mixes, etc. have told me the same thing about their own blockheaded muttley.

First, there is no shame in this happy face’s game. Second, I love her sweet graying muzzle, the reason my dog does whatever he wants whenever. Like right now, he just got up and went to the kitchen for a treat one hour after a HUGE breakfast including beef, sardines, carrots, oats and sweet potatoes. Jerk! Hold on, I have to go get him a treat real quick….
