Big heads, big hearts, can’t lose?
This kitten thinks she’s a pit bull and it’s too cute for words.

So, all this debate about what kind of dog the President of the United States should have gotten is insanity. We can’t pick what people want. And he has two teenage girls, whose opinions we also can’t control. Not that that prohibits a pit bull, but it means that people can choose the kind of dog they want. Isn’t that what we want? For our dogs, pit bulls or not, to all have the same treatment? I mean, this stuff is so crazy in the face of the HUGE progress made yesterday.(Here is the Washington Humane Society press release about Pres. Obama’s statement, the family’s gift and the ensuing official statement from the White House).
You know what saves a ton more than one White House pit bull? Ending BSL. You know what helps the fight against it? The President himself and a White House statement against it. And a big donation to an organization that saves tons of bully breed dogs and is effective and eloquent in its own advocacy. Progress helps save pit bulls and prevent discrimination against them and other types of dogs in the present and future. Look at the totality of the reality, not your own skewed view of how you want to force people to act.
It is what you think it is.
New York needs a woofstock.
Aw this sounds so great. Until you remember it’s Toronto and most of the people I know would have at least one dog that would not be allowed in the entire county.
I wish one person who supports BSL could formulate an actual definition of what a pit bull is. It’s all subjective and speculative, the very things a law should not be. It is illogical and impossible to predict how a dog will act based upon its appearance. Science and statistics are on the other side.
